Not Your Average Nairobi

Those of you who live (or have lived) in Nairobi will probably enjoy going through 24 Nairobi’s website. In their words:
“The 24 Nairobi project is intended as a showcase of a modern African city through the eyes of its own photographers. This is an alternative, innovative, realistic and professional African perspective. All the photographers reside in Nairobi and grew up or now call Nairobi “home”…”
Of particular note (to me) are photos by Boniface Mwangi – award-winning photojournalist – who captured a side of Nairobi that most of us haven’t encountered (or would want to encounter, for that matter). I believe the gallery opening at the Museum will be held on the 24th of this month – more details on the website: http://www.24nairobi.com

Thanks for posting this! This is definitely an exciting project and I think that 24Nairobi and the contributing photographers have captured the different aspects of the city extremely well.
